Location: Seoul
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Define end-to-end thermal design across NPU/ASIC package, PCB, card, and server chassis levels, selecting and designing cooling components like heatsinks, heat pipes, vapor chambers, cold plates, and TIM.
  • •Evaluate cooling trade-offs (air, liquid, 2-phase, immersion) and run CFD simulations including EM-thermal co-simulation using power maps from HFSS, SIwave, or PowerDC.
  • •Validate thermal performance through wind-tunnel testing and hands-on measurements using thermocouples, IR cameras, and RTDs, and correlate DOE-based simulations with measurements.
  • •Support reliability testing such as thermal cycling and burn-in for thermal performance verification.
  • •Partner with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate thermal solutions into packaged hardware, negotiate thermal specs with OEM/ODM and hyperscale customers, and author thermal design guides and test reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Use CFD to simulate heat transfer and fluid flow for thermal modeling.
  • •Design active and passive cooling solutions, including heatsinks, fans, and liquid-cooling coldplates.
  • •Evaluate NPU card thermal performance using multi-temperature recording and FLIR cameras or thermocouples.
  • •Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate thermal solutions into packaged hardware.
