Key Responsibilities

  • •Gather and ramp up quickly on the dubizzle codebase, technologies stack, and product domain.
  • •Lead planning sessions for new product features and create detailed roll-out/roll-back strategies for releases.
  • •Build reliable, efficient backend solutions by researching industry trends and applying design patterns to complex problems.
  • •Write and maintain exemplary code with unit/component/integration testing and follow established programming practices.
  • •Design and deliver multiple REST-based APIs, contribute to post-release maintenance, and lead major pull-request code reviews with constructive feedback.

  • •8+ years of professional back-end software engineering experience; Python preferred.
  • •Experience with cloud-hosted infrastructure and technologies; AWS preferred.
  • •Prior experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

  • •Strong understanding of design patterns (asynchronous programming, queuing, logging, security, persistence) and testing methodologies.
