Job Summary

Lead architecture for HSBC’s CTO Data Technology organization, translating business requirements into solution and functional designs. Build technical/logical designs, communicate solutions to development teams, and support developers and production support to ensure new software is understood and supported. Key Responsibilities

•Partner with the CIB Chief Data Office, business users, and subject matter experts to understand requirements.
•Build technical and logical solution designs and translate them into functional requirements for delivery.
•Provide ongoing communication and support of functional solutions to the development team and support production teams to ensure readiness.
•Develop proof-of-concept projects, validate solution designs, and perform peer review and decision traceability.
•Define and manage detailed end-to-end solution architecture across agile cycles, including governance, risk management, cost effectiveness, and addressing technical debt.

Key Requirements

•At least 5 years’ experience working as a Solution Architect in large, complex, geographically dispersed organizations.
•Translate business requirements into solution and functional designs, abstracting architectural patterns from technical solutions.
•Provide strong leadership and communicate solutions to both IT and business audiences to obtain approvals at the right level.
•Experience with streaming and integration technologies, including Kafka/Flink/Pub/Sub, REST APIs, and microservices.
•Knowledge across data and platform technologies including SQL/NoSQL, data warehousing and ETL, Linux/scripting, cloud platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS), and containerization concepts (Docker/Kubernetes).
