Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and set performance expectations for a Vietnam technical team supporting Validation Engineering, Material Development, and Material Color Development for new product development and in-line production.
  • •Partner with global teams to implement and scale validation standards and processes across new and sustaining YETI products in Vietnam.
  • •Build and operationalize Vietnam capabilities by scaling and adapting U.S.-based processes for local execution, including SOP development and continuous improvement.
  • •Translate business plans into department objectives and work plans across the multi-season product development cadence; allocate resources based on priorities.
  • •Monitor engineering performance using key metrics, track technical risks, guide deliverables for quality and timeliness, and manage operating/capital budgets and capacity planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
  • •At least 8 years of experience in engineering and product development, with some Consumer Goods industry experience strongly preferred.
  • •3+ years of experience leading and developing technical staff to meet business goals.
  • •Experience with testing and material standards, including DFMEA and Design Validation Plan (DVP) development.
  • •Ability to work with complex workflows and use root cause analysis techniques in fast-paced environments; English communication skills required.
