Key Responsibilities

  • •Fleet Transportation: Use your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Detroit daily.
  • •Operational Management: Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas.
  • •Maintenance & Quality: Perform light field checks to ensure vehicles are safe and environmentally friendly.
  • •Field Execution: Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently.
  • •Independent contractor expectations: You manage your own schedule and workload to meet Bird’s operational needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Vehicle Access: must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes; fleet owners with multiple vehicles/drivers are encouraged to apply.
  • •Storage Space: access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for overnight charging.
  • •License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers.
  • •Physical Ability: ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment.
  • •Availability: flexible schedule with willingness to regularly operate on weekends.
