Job Summary

Build and operate ByteDance’s global infrastructure across public/private clouds, data centers, and content delivery networks. Create automation, tools, visualizations, and monitoring to improve reliability and performance, and participate in operational rotations when issues arise. Deploy and configure cloud solutions, develop infrastructure automation scripts, and support the full lifecycle from design to deployment and refinement, including proofs of concept. Administer and maintain servers across virtual platforms.

Key Responsibilities

•Build, expand, and operate ByteDance’s global infrastructures across public/private clouds, data centers, and content delivery networks.
•Develop tools, automation, visualizations, and monitors to operate and optimize infrastructure.
•Participate in technical operations and rotations in response to performance and reliability issues.
•Improve the infrastructure service lifecycle from inception and design through development, deployment, user support, and refinement.
•Deploy, configure, and automate cloud operations; develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and proof-of-concept demos.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related fields.
•5+ years working with Unix/Linux systems (kernel to shell) including system libraries, file systems, and client-server protocols.
•5+ years with system-level apps such as DNS, APT, LDAP, Nginx, CI/CD, Ansible, and Packer.
•3+ years in one or more languages (Java, C++, Go) or scripting with Shell and Python.
•Experience designing and building automation/tools for large-scale systems, including AWS, Google Cloud, OCI, or other cloud services.
