Water/wastewater project engineer to design and manage municipal water and wastewater infrastructure in Chicago. You’ll contribute to technical design, cost estimating, interdisciplinary reviews, and specification development, while mentoring entry-level engineers and applying AutoCAD/Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools in a collaborative, hybrid Chicago-based team.

Key Responsibilities

•Technical design of municipal water/wastewater/drainage infrastructure improvements.
•Providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
•Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
•Developing construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
•Providing guidance and mentoring to entry-level engineers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 125,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
•EIT with plans to pursue a PE
•4+ years of relevant water infrastructure design experience
•Previous experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D; strong working knowledge of industry standard software (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Revit, hydraulic modeling platforms)
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills; willingness to learn and work in a team environment
