Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electrical engineering design consultancy for transmission and distribution projects from concept through to detailed design.
  • •Contribute to HV/LV system analysis, cabling, substations, protection systems, SCADA, and offshore/onshore interconnectors.
  • •Support the UK National Grid Great Grid Programme and grid modernization initiatives to enable renewable integration and net-zero targets.
  • •Prepare technical documentation and present findings to clients and stakeholders, capturing feedback for project improvements.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors in a hybrid work environment to deliver high-quality energy infrastructure solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng)
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
  • •Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors
  • •Ability to explain and discuss technical issues and capture feedback
