Key Responsibilities

  • •Take ownership of technical projects from inception through operational deployment, coordinating within the Advanced Energy Management System department.
  • •Create project charters, technical roadmaps, and manage project plans with technical specialists, keeping internal and external teams aligned.
  • •Manage budgets up to £5m, prepare reporting for PMO and financial reviews, assist with investment dossiers, and support procurement exercises.
  • •Develop contingency plans, manage change control, and ensure technical and quality strategies align with project requirements.
  • •Coordinate handover to delivery teams (installation of hardware, software, communications, and substation equipment), run retrospectives, and drive continuous improvement; deputise for the AEMS Manager as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Practical experience with real-time control systems and ADMS systems, alongside project management in ICT environments.
  • •A qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, SCRUM Master (or equivalent).
  • •Track record managing complex ICT projects with budgets up to £5m and leading teams of up to 10 people.
  • •HND or degree level qualification plus recognised Project/Programme qualifications.
  • •Strong communication in English and proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools; full UK driving licence required.
