Job Summary

Provide technical input into the design and delivery of high-reliability electrical power systems for data centre and industrial infrastructure projects. Coordinate medium and high-voltage system design with a focus on resilience, redundancy, and operational continuity. Lead and deliver electrical designs from concept through construction support, run power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash), and support integration of MV systems, transformers, standby generation, UPS, and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver electrical designs from concept through detailed design and construction support.
•Collaborate with global multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate actively in the design process.
•Deliver projects from inception to close-out for defined work packages, with focus on data centre projects.
•Engage with clients and professional teams to support delivery, coordination, and clear technical communication.
•Perform and support power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash) and assist with specification/integration of MV systems, transformers, standby generation, UPS systems, and switchgear.

Key Requirements

•Minimum BSc Eng. or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
•At least 7 years consulting engineering experience with building services and industrial environment.
•Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech Eng) advantageous.
•Working knowledge of IEC, SANS and BS standards applicable to MV/LV power systems, with exposure to data centre standards (TIA-942 / Uptime principles) advantageous.
•Perform and support power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash) using eTAP or equivalent tools.
