Key Responsibilities

  • •Own complex market abuse investigations end to end, writing findings to a regulator-reliable standard and presenting conclusions to stakeholders.
  • •Lead or contribute to periodic threshold and model reviews to recalibrate surveillance rules and alert thresholds as trading evolves.
  • •Support design, build-out, and integration of surveillance platform capability, onboarding new products, venues, and data sources.
  • •Contribute to market abuse risk assessments, identifying and scoring risk across products, jurisdictions, and entities and translating insights into surveillance coverage.
  • •Use AI and automation to speed evidence-gathering, case reconstruction, and detection-model development while keeping final human judgment for regulated decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience investigating market abuse or trading conduct in a regulated market setting (e.g., exchange, broker-dealer, trading venue).
  • •Run investigations end to end, including regulator-reliable written findings and stakeholder presentations.
  • •Knowledge of market abuse typologies such as spoofing, wash trading, insider trading, front running, and ramping.
  • •Experience with threshold/model calibration, surveillance platform integration, market abuse risk assessments, and audit remediation.
  • •Comfort using generative AI and automation tools for evidence gathering and detection-model development with human oversight.
