Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and deliver the design and specification of vertical transportation systems, including lifts, escalators, moving walks, and specialist systems.
  • •Prepare technical reports, drawings, schedules, and specifications aligned with project requirements and relevant standards.
  • •Review VT designs prepared by others to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and best practice.
  • •Coordinate with internal disciplines (MEP, Architecture, Structures, BIM) and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • •Support tender evaluations, contractor clarifications, and site activities including inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Minimum 6+ years’ professional experience in Vertical Transportation (VT) design and consultancy, preferably within the Middle East market.
  • •Proven track record delivering VT systems on large-scale, complex developments (including high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure).
  • •Strong working knowledge of international and regional codes and standards, including EN, ISO, BS, and relevant local authority/civil defence requirements.
  • •Chartered Engineer status or active progress toward professional accreditation is highly desirable.
