Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and mentor regional leaders and safety representatives to strengthen safety performance, accountability, and execution of safety priorities.
  • •Partner with regional leadership to develop and implement safety communications, culture initiatives, and Safety Management Program enhancements.
  • •Provide expert guidance on safety standards, regulatory compliance, audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action plans across operations.
  • •Serve as a safety subject matter expert collaborating with operations, support teams, and occupational hygiene groups to improve programs and outcomes.
  • •Lead contractor safety engagement, field assessments, safety training delivery, and safety-focused performance improvements through problem-solving and work teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related area.
  • •6+ years of pertinent experience in occupational safety and wellness within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industries (or 9+ years total without a university degree).
  • •Demonstrated experience developing and implementing safety management systems and programs, including change management practices and North American Health & Safety legislation.
  • •Strong communication and relationship-building skills to partner effectively with internal and external collaborators.
  • •Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety designation (preferred), with experience using contractor management systems (e.g., ISNetworld).
