Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure employee safety by leading Sonoco safety processes and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • •Implement and sustain reliability-centered maintenance to drive machine uptime, improve OEE, and reduce operations costs.
  • •Provide department leadership to maintain plant condition and equipment performance, and support technical training and development for maintenance personnel.
  • •Scope and execute capital projects, participate in annual plant budgeting, manage department spend, and identify technical improvements.
  • •Use reliability tools and root-cause analysis to determine causes of critical equipment failures/downtime and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead plant maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment with 3+ years of experience and/or 5+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience.
  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Experience with CMMS (preferred) and TPM or reliability (preferred).
  • •Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and the ability to identify gaps and implement countermeasures to achieve zero safety incidents.
  • •Proficient root-cause analysis skills (FMEA, 5Why’s, etc.), plus strong organization, project management, and communication abilities.
