Job Summary

Drive supplier performance for a complex global supply base by managing key suppliers from PO placement through delivery. Lead schedules and purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and quality, review shortages, and manage supplier relationships and improvement activities. Identify and communicate program execution risks, compile pricing and financial inputs, and review RFPs and bid packages with presentations to senior leadership. Work onsite in Chula Vista, with up to 30% domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a group of suppliers from PO placement through order delivery.
•Direct and manage schedules and purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and Quality requirements.
•Review critical shortages with multiple stakeholders.
•Lead supplier relationship and improvement activities, including monitoring and corrective actions against team metric targets.
•Review RFPs and bid packages, compile price proposals and financial reports, and present to senior leadership while traveling up to 30%.
•Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree (or equivalent experience) plus minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree plus 7 years’ experience.
•Aerospace industry experience or similar experience across engineering, supply chain, procurement, and operations.
•SAP experience.
•Technical aptitude to understand complex manufacturing processes.
•Project management skills, including lean manufacturing/continuous improvement and process improvement experience.
