Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and maintain systems and services that form the foundation of the platform for the Japan market.
  • •Build and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices and REST/gRPC APIs plus Japan-specific vendor integrations.
  • •Translate Japan-specific regulatory, vendor, partner, and business requirements into technical specifications for global engineering.
  • •Troubleshoot incidents and reported bugs, and participate in on-call rotations supporting timely production issues during Japan business hours.
  • •Mentor teammates and contribute to cross-functional projects and regional recruitment initiatives while fostering engineering culture in Japan.

Key Requirements

  • •Native or JLPT N1 level fluency in Japanese for professional communication with local regulators, vendors, and partners.

  • •Proven experience designing and developing complex financial systems, including double-entry accounting, ledger structures, and transaction reconciliation.
