Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support to refinery mechanical engineers and inspectors to improve equipment reliability and performance while meeting safety, environmental, and economic guidelines.
  • •Assist with activities such as mechanical equipment design, inspection data analysis, fitness-for-service evaluations, repair plan development, materials selection, root cause failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • •Collaborate with process engineers to design and install new projects and other unit improvements.
  • •Help recognize, report, and/or suggest recommendations for safety, health, and environmental issues that impact operations and personnel.
  • •Support projects including equipment design, preparation of specifications, equipment integrity evaluations, research investigations, and report preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Civil Engineering program at a four-year college/university.
  • •Available to work 40 hours per week.
  • •Completed the Sophomore year in Mechanical Engineering in an accredited program with an accumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • •Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint 2010+.
  • •Experience with AutoCad.
