Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and maintain the context layer agents read, including rules files, docs conventions, and grounding data with CI and named owners.
  • •Publish standards for prompting coding agents, supplying context, and defining what a spec must contain before it can be handed to an agent.
  • •Define review gates for AI-generated artifacts and ensure findings from reviewers flow back into the conventions.
  • •Turn supported prototypes into workflows others can run, not just the original authors.
  • •Evaluate harnesses, models, and vendors; collaborate on product-to-engineering handoffs and teach the team through documentation and office hours.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • •7+ years building production software and maintaining it; shipped and sustained real systems.
  • •Recent, direct Ruby on Rails experience in a large codebase, including the ability to assess code quality quickly.
  • •Experience with AI-assisted engineering using LLM-backed systems shipped to users and kept running.
  • •Strong problem-solving and communication skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
