Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in compliance with state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely on required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork and perform routine service checks; report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license (state-dependent) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing and complete a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication with customers and staff.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
