Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and execute Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for upstream oil & gas, commercial, industrial, and mining sector clients.
  • •Plan and coordinate field programs including environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring, remediation, and reclamation across Western Canada.
  • •Collect and document environmental field data, including soil and groundwater samples, per regulatory requirements and WSP standards.
  • •Drive safe field operations by supervising contractors, ground disturbance activities, and junior team members.
  • •Prepare and review technical reports and contribute to project planning, including budget development, workplan preparation, cost tracking, and progress reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or university degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geology, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • •3 to 5 years of environmental consulting experience focused on Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and groundwater monitoring.
  • •Working knowledge of Alberta environmental regulations, liability management frameworks, and site closure requirements.
  • •Experience planning and coordinating field programs while maintaining strong health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • •Demonstrated technical report writing and data interpretation abilities.
