Key Responsibilities

  • •Set and own the multi-year LATAM growth strategy across users, revenue, and market expansion, including regional P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and investment trade-offs.
  • •Lead, develop, and hold accountable Country Leads across Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and additional frontiers; serve as executive escalation point and resolve blockers within 48 hours.
  • •Act as the two-way translator between LATAM country teams and global functions (Product, Marketing, Content, Localisation, Finance), turning local needs with data into central execution.
  • •Champion localisation across product, pricing, packaging, partnerships, and messaging; own content and marketing accountability for the region.
  • •Represent Canva externally across LATAM through press, enterprise and government engagements, ecosystem partnerships, and events.

Key Requirements

  • •Personally drove outsided results and can describe a specific market strategy or pivot where performance turned.
  • •Built and led other leaders (e.g., Country GMs or regional directors), coaching them to strong outcomes.
  • •Stabilised or turned around an underperforming market through systematic execution and metric improvement.
  • •Data-led decision making: can read P&L, understand unit economics, and make resource allocation calls.
  • •Strong LATAM depth with PT/ES fluency and customer/cultural exposure across Brazil and at least one other major LATAM market.
