Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and delivery of advanced hydrodynamic and water quality models for environmental assessments.
  • •Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in developing and advancing modelling tools and frameworks.
  • •Develop and refine conceptual models, synthesize complex datasets, and apply numerical modelling approaches to support scientific and regulatory outcomes.
  • •Collaborate with hydrologists, geochemists, hydrogeologists, permitting specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
  • •Author and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations; support client engagement and mentor junior and intermediate team members.

Key Requirements

  • •MSc or PhD in Water Quality Modelling, Environmental Engineering, Aquatic Geochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • •10+ years of progressive experience delivering hydrodynamic and water quality modelling projects, ideally in mining or natural resource sectors.
  • •Expertise with modelling platforms such as CE-QUAL-W2, Delft3D, MIKE, WASP, GoldSim, CORMIX, or equivalent tools.
  • •Strong conceptual model development, numerical modelling methodologies, and environmental data interpretation.
  • •Experience leading complex projects, managing client relationships, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
