  • •Provide day-to-day support of the mainframe environment, including daily health checks and resolving incidents from the incident queue.
  • •Raise change requests and implement additional capacity; configure and sustain storage for databases, VSAM files, and work/sort space.
  • •Plan and manage z/OS hardware and storage configuration, including IODF, LPAR, and HMC activities.
  • •Administer backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities, including performing disaster recovery drills as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of related mainframe storage experience with IBM and/or EMC storage environments, including DS8K/DSCLI/GDPS/PPRC/DFHSM/DFDSS/ICKDSF and/or DLM configuration and installation/upgrade.
  • •Strong z/OS concepts, including IODF and related storage space management (work and sort space).
  • •Expertise with mainframe storage monitoring tools and CA Disk Sysprog/disk space management activities.
  • •Ability to administer backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and execute related capabilities, including performing disaster recovery drills.
  • •Knowledge of relevant storage support and customization skills such as TS7720/DS8870 support, SMS and RMM customization; understanding of z/Series hardware planning (IODF, LPAR, HMC).
