Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead negotiation and drafting of real estate agreements and ancillary documents for purchases, sales, leases, sale-leasebacks, and real estate finance transactions.
  • •Prepare notices and advise business partners on lease disputes, providing general transaction support.
  • •Assist with due diligence and curative efforts for land use, including zoning, title, survey, and environmental review.
  • •Manage closing checklists for M&A, public finance, and development transactions.
  • •Coordinate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to open new locations and manage interactions with outside/ opposing counsel and other stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years of substantive legal experience handling commercial real estate transactions in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • •J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • •Active attorney license in good standing and admission to the bar in at least one state.
  • •Experience with environmental law and retail/industrial leases, preferably with representative experience covering large real estate portfolios.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage high-volume projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
