Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure service delivery of processes against standards and defined performance levels within a governance and control environment.
  • •Use functional and business expertise in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, risk management, and regulation management frameworks to guide the team.
  • •Provide PLA/Business MI analysis (trends, outliers, issues) to the Business Committee and ensure continuous process review for improved timeframes and controls.
  • •Control direct costs and identify and implement process improvements such as standardization and automation, supporting reengineering savings and project rollouts.
  • •Support knowledge sharing across HSBC locations and provide SME input on exception identification, escalation, and management.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor/Master’s degree in MBA Finance or similar, with at least 8 years of experience in Banking, Law, or Financial Services with a Compliance role.
  • •Clear understanding of Regulation Management Framework and regulatory reporting, including Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework, and the role within HSBC’s Line of Defenses.
  • •Experience managing Banking Compliance and Regulatory Compliance as a 2nd line of defense role, or in a Compliance Assurance/Audit function.
  • •Demonstrated ability to manage diverse, multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management, and prioritization.
  • •Proficiency with applications used in the Regulation Management ecosystem, alongside project management tools and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
