Job Summary

Deliver heavy rental equipment and ensure safe, timely transport to construction customers. Operate your vehicle in compliance with state and federal transportation laws, maneuver trucks and trailers for loading/unloading, assist with loading when needed, and manage delivery documentation. Use real-time access to fleet locations, work orders, and delivery details through the company’s technology platform while performing routine vehicle checks and coordinating with supervisors at the De Witt facility.

Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
•Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
•Assist with loading/unloading and move goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed.
•Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine vehicle service such as checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

•Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.

•Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
•Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
