Job Summary

Support thin film manufacturing operations and drive process development for custom multilayer products. Own engineering and production support across PVD metal deposition, laser drilling, photolithography, electroplating/electroless plating, and wet chemical etching. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on failure analysis, process improvements using SPC and DOE, RCCA, equipment/ materials qualification, and on-site responsiveness. Create and maintain shop process documentation and enable operator training to improve yields and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide engineering and production support for multiple thin film processes, including deposition, laser drilling, photolithography, plating, and wet chemical etching.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing operations and materials/process development, including failure analysis and materials qualifications.
•Drive process improvements using SPC techniques and experimental designs (DOE).
•Support qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development for materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
•Implement process and design improvements through RCCA, lessons learned, defect analysis, and create/maintain shop process documentation and operator training.

Key Requirements

•Degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
•Experience with one or more thin film processes including metal deposition/sputtering, laser drilling, photolithography, plating, and wet chemical etching.
•Experience resolving technical issues with a multi-disciplined engineering team, including root cause investigation.
•Experience working with automated equipment used in manufacturing.
•U.S. citizenship is required.
