Job Summary

Build and maintain cross-platform agent/plugins and backend microservices for Visa’s Corporate IT platform engineering team. Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and maintain a cross-platform agent/plugin in Go (Golang).
•Design and build back-end microservices and APIs in Java/Spring Boot with scalability, resiliency, and monitoring.
•Build and operate an Apache Kafka-based streaming pipeline across an Active/Active multi–data-center topology.
•Containerize, deploy, and operate services using Docker and Kubernetes, and define operational patterns.
•Work with data stores (ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Redis) and build GenAI-powered features and integrations, collaborating on API contracts and engineering best practices.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
•3+ years with a Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD).
•Strong hands-on depth in Go (Golang) for building cross-platform plugins/agents and core Java with Spring Boot for production back-end services.
•Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (producers/consumers, partitioning, consumer groups, offsets/lag, delivery semantics).
•Experience building and operating systems with Docker and Kubernetes, microservices, distributed-systems design, and high-throughput/high-availability patterns.
