Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (including electrical, brake, cooling, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related systems).
  • •Use test instruments and road testing to inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the service truck and perform safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections while documenting work on Repair Orders (ROs).

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older; hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
