Key Responsibilities

  • •Improve ranking and relevance for Firecrawl Search from feature engineering through model training and production
  • •Build and tune models for learning-to-rank, query understanding, and LLM-driven retrieval
  • •Extend ML across products including extraction quality, content classification, and evaluation of LLM-driven features
  • •Mine query logs and behavioral data at scale to identify product wins and failures
  • •Design experimentation and testing strategy (A/B testing frameworks and offline evaluation) and partner on launches using success metrics

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years building ML or data-heavy systems in production
  • •Shipped ML models into production and owned them after launch, including deploying, monitoring, and retraining
  • •Hands-on experience with ranking or relevance modeling (e.g., learning-to-rank, recommendations, or search quality)
  • •Comfort working with large data-heavy systems such as query logs, pipelines, and datasets too large for memory
  • •Write production-quality code in Python and work within a backend codebase
