Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, design, and co-ordinate the BEAMS-ID trial with Cardiff CTR and the trial manager.
  • •Contribute to writing bids for research funding and work within specified research grants and projects.
  • •Analyse and interpret research findings and results, and undertake data analyses with guidance from the trial statistician and health economist.
  • •Capture data from participants and their families, help drive participant recruitment, and support trial-related administrative tasks.
  • •Develop research objectives and proposals, disseminate findings through publications and research seminars, and supervise research associates and guide students where appropriate.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 36,636 - 46,049 annually

Key Requirements

  • •First degree in area of specialism and normally a higher degree relevant to the research area (or equivalent qualifications).
  • •High level analytical capability and ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • •Fluency in relevant research models, techniques, and methods, with ability to contribute to developing new ones.
  • •Extensive experience delivering high-quality research and project management results, including experience working on clinical trials and other large research projects.
  • •Experience and/or knowledge of methods such as multi-level or linear mixed effects modelling and missing data analysis using multiple imputation, plus health economics and process evaluation in clinical trials.
