Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and drive the full state adoption and approval strategy, managing multi-year adoption pipelines, curriculum and assessment submissions, and evidence packet development.
  • •Serve as the enterprise’s leading voice on state education adoption policy, providing strategic guidance to executive leadership that shapes product investment and market positioning.
  • •Build and sustain partnerships across Product, Sales, Legal, Marketing, and state/local departments of education to align programs strategy with product roadmap and revenue goals.
  • •Design and continuously improve operational systems, workflows, and tracking tools for the state programs team to execute at scale with precision and speed.
  • •Lead, coach, and grow a team of state program specialists, and translate adoption outcomes and market data into actionable intelligence for post-adoption debriefs and product enhancements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree in Education, Public Policy, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • •10+ years of experience in K-12 education technology, curriculum publishing, or state policy; at least 8 years managing state adoptions, approvals, or government relations.
  • •Track record leading complex, multi-state adoption submissions and navigating curriculum and assessment review frameworks (e.g., HQIM, Quality Matters).
  • •Deep knowledge of K-12 academic standards, instructional design, and curriculum evaluation, translating it into competitive submissions and product guidance.
  • •Proven people leadership and relationship building with state and local departments of education, navigating government and policy environments effectively.
