Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect data and complete house checklists in feed conversion houses, including weighing birds, adding feed, and recording information.
  • •Feed birds and monitor controls that regulate temperature and humidity in the poultry house.
  • •Perform lab dissection work: euthanize birds, dissect using a scalpel per protocols, score defects, and record weights/defects.
  • •Dispose of dead birds and dissect birds as instructed; collect and process lab samples.
  • •Maintain biosecurity/animal welfare procedures and perform related housekeeping and sanitation duties (including cleaning/disinfecting and equipment set-up).

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.

  • •Must be willing to follow biosecurity and animal welfare requirements, including showering/changing clothing/footwear and signing required agreements.
  • •Must be willing and able to meet physical demands (e.g., regularly lift/move 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds) and perform repetitive work including dissection.
