Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation across gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries. Attend to breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal supervision, select tools and equipment, manage spare parts via a computerized maintenance system, and maintain accurate records. Follow safety and plant operational requirements, support RCFA for repeat failures, and provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation to ensure efficient operation and reduce equipment downtime.
•Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal direction and supervision.
•Assess allocated jobs and select the necessary tools and equipment to complete the work.
•Use the computerized maintenance system to order spare parts and maintain records of completed maintenance.
•Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with safety procedures and plant operational requirements; report repeated breakdowns and assist with RCFA; provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen.

Key Requirements

•Have higher secondary or a diploma.
•Familiar with maintenance tools and knowledgeable of plant safety.
•Experience in a power or desalination plant, with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation.
•Knowledge of pressure, temperature, level, and flow measuring devices and pneumatic/hydraulic valve actuation systems.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals; knowledge of CO2 fire protection and infrared gas detection systems is required/preferred.
