Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform general plant labor and housekeeping, including hosing down floors, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, and picking up trash.
  • •Shovel and clean up spills in the plant; empty barrels of trash and product.
  • •Clean equipment from top to bottom and keep floor drains cleaned out with covers on drains.
  • •Help unstop screw conveyors and cut plastic and product off of the screw.
  • •Oversee the rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage; perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment preferred.
  • •Knowledge of mechanical rendering and/or process equipment.
  • •Good mechanical aptitude with equipment troubleshooting and safe operation of equipment.
  • •Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
  • •Ability to read and write, climb stairs and silos, and stand for the entire shift.
