Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform mechanical maintenance duties at apprentice to journeyman level to maintain plant equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot, repair, and operate mechanical power plant equipment.
  • •Monitor equipment temperature, pressure, flow, and level instruments/gauges and enter data into handheld electronic devices.
  • •Perform mechanical maintenance and may also support mechanical/electrical maintenance and other assigned duties.
  • •May be subject to rotating shift work and membership in the Plant Fire Brigade and Rescue Team.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • •Successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program is required.
  • •3-5 years journeyman level experience in a heavy industrial setting performing mechanical maintenance activities.
  • •Good knowledge of basic math and reading/writing skills.
  • •Ability to use hand tools and various tools, plus basic communication and computer skills.
