Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform carbon chassis analysis and optimization (stiffness, mass, resonance) for quadcopter platforms to prevent regressions.
  • •Run modal and harmonic/random vibration analyses to identify natural frequencies, mode shapes, and resonance risks.
  • •Conduct crash/shock/impact explicit dynamic simulations to predict deformation, damage, and failure, and define design changes to improve survivability.
  • •Execute structural FEA (static, stiffness, fatigue, failure) to support early design decisions and de-risk new concepts.
  • •Develop simulation tools and methodology for autonomous first-order analyses, correlate models to physical testing, and translate results into design changes (including CAD implementation).

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Structural Mechanics, or a related field.
  • •Proven FEA experience focused on modal/vibration/dynamic analysis using tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, Nastran, OptiStruct, or COMSOL.
  • •Strong structural dynamics foundation (natural frequencies, mode shapes, damping, resonance, FRF).
  • •Experience with crash/shock/impact explicit dynamics simulations (e.g., Ansys LS-DYNA, Abaqus/Explicit, Radioss), including strain-rate and failure modeling.
  • •Solid composite materials knowledge and ability to correlate simulation results with physical testing (modal testing, accelerometers/shaker, drop/impact tests, flight data).
