Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a heavy equipment vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain shipping paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and facilitate routine service such as checking fluids; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) for the vehicle you will operate.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations, and complete a DOT physical (vehicles are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • •Maintain strong interpersonal and customer service skills and communicate professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to spend prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
