Job Summary

Carry out hands-on lift and crane inspections across your local area, assessing plant, equipment, and installations and helping clients meet relevant legislation. Use electronic reporting and mobile tools to produce timely examination reports, manage documentation, and plan site visits. Work closely with an Engineer Surveyor team led by a Senior Operations Team Leader, with regular travel from home and access to induction training.

•Visit client sites to inspect lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
•Assess installations and help clients comply with relevant legislation.

•Plan and diarise meetings, visits, and work allocation across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
•Travel effectively within a local allocated work area and support/deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.

Key Requirements

•NVQ Level 3 (or above) in a mechanical related subject.

•Up-to-date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules and procedures for the Lift and Crane discipline.
•Comfort using tablets and smartphones as part of daily working life.
