Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop new Hot Aisle Containment product platforms, kits, and configurable architectures using Eaton’s structured NPD process.
  • •Design and document HAC systems, including support structures, doors, panels, sealing solutions, and mounting interfaces, and translate requirements into technical specs.
  • •Perform mechanical design and analysis, including structural loads/deflection/anchoring calculations and support for FEA/CFD to assess structural integrity and thermal/airflow containment performance.
  • •Support verification and validation planning, coordinate testing activities, analyze results, and implement design improvements and corrective actions.
  • •Create and maintain installation/assembly/technical documentation and engineering change documentation while collaborating with manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and field personnel to resolve issues and improve cost/quality.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution, or an Associate's degree with at least three years of experience in mechanical product design/product development.
  • •Experience in mechanical product design, product development, or related engineering roles.
  • •Experience with Data Center Hot Aisle Containment systems or related data center infrastructure products.
  • •Knowledge of structural steel and sheet metal design principles, including load path analysis, fastening methods, and connection design.
  • •Hands-on support of verification and validation testing and experience with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, aluminum extrusions, plastic injection molding, machining, and casting.
