Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage special assets for trusts, estates, and agency accounts, including taking possession, coordinating management, evaluating investment potential, and recommending investment policies.
  • •Coordinate and complete Annual Investment Reviews and valuations, including developing investment recommendations and determining asset marketability.
  • •Manage a portfolio of complex oil, gas, and mineral assets by reviewing critical documents and financial data to ensure performance aligns with client goals.
  • •Oversee lease and contract management, including negotiating mineral leases, pooling agreements, term assignments, ensuring compliance, and coordinating trust attorney review of closing documents.
  • •Ensure revenue and payment processing accuracy (royalties, shut-ins, delay rentals, bonuses, AFEs/JIBs as applicable), address auditing/regulatory issues, and assist with asset sales when appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •7-10 years of related professional experience in the oil and gas industry or asset management, with a strong understanding of oil and gas law, mineral rights, and title matters.
  • •Ability to perform accounting and financial analysis of leases, budgets, financing, investment structures, returns, and related financial statements.
  • •Experience managing complex specialty assets across acquisitions and sales and handling fiduciary issues, including sensitive account situations.
  • •Proficiency with Enverus Drillinginfo and other standard industry software.
  • •College or university degree; preferred Petroleum Land/Energy Management background, with professional certifications (RPL/CPL/JD or similar) preferred but not required.
