Job Summary

Study equipment reliability and drive cost-of-ownership improvements by overseeing installation, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of manufacturing tools. Evaluate, select, and order cost-effective equipment for product manufacturing, and stay current on manufacturer upgrades, technical notices, and safety issues. Use data to improve equipment performance, define equipment specification limits, establish uptime action plans, and write preventative maintenance schedules to impact fab performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

•Study equipment performance reliability and maintain manufacturing equipment.
•Oversee installation, modification, upgrades, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
•Evaluate, select, and order appropriate and cost-effective equipment for company product manufacture.
•Use data to improve equipment performance, compile/evaluate data for equipment specification limits and variables, and support reliability improvements.
•Manage continuous improvement actions affecting fab performance metrics, including uptime action plans, preventative maintenance schedules, and technical support for equipment repair/process engineering and operations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree.
•Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an Equipment Engineer in Ion Implantation within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
•Equipment experience with Axcelis GSD, Varian E220/E500, and/or AMAT Viista.
•Prior experience with Ion Implantation and high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum.
•Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance and documentation, and working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing/SPC.
