Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and maintain the simple-cycle generating facility and associated auxiliary/support equipment with minimal guidance.
  • •Follow regulatory procedures, facility safety programs, and environmental permits while performing shift operations.
  • •Operate demineralizers, compressors, and turbine components; inspect systems and monitor plant data (meters, gauges, automatic devices).
  • •Maintain equipment (tighten fittings, replace valve packing, gaskets, valves, gauges) and perform cleaning/oiling/lubrication as required.
  • •Use CMMS to support maintenance work and assist with outage planning, developing O&M procedures, operator training, root cause analysis, and management of change.

Key Requirements

  • •2 to 4 years related experience and/or training (or a combination of experience and education).
  • •High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent preferred.
  • •Knowledge of power plant operations and the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.
  • •Proficiency writing operating procedures, work requests, and written records; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • •Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, technical manuals, and P&ID’s; mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment knowledge.
