Job Summary

Lead merchant acceptance growth for a new mobile payment solution across South and Southern markets, owning merchant relations and partner strategy from a merchant servicing and acquiring perspective. Drive execution of merchant acceptance strategies, negotiate strategic partnerships, and translate regional needs into actionable plans for Acceptance and Interchange teams. Work closely with client banks, merchants, and third-party partners, conduct quarterly business reviews, and support deployment and go-to-market activities in a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute merchant acceptance, merchant relations, and partner strategy to increase Visa MSV, market share, and data processing revenues.
•Partner with leadership to execute the Nano Merchant Acceptance Strategy over a 3-year horizon.
•Drive acceptance of Visa payment solutions across business segments, focusing on top tier and marquee merchants.
•Negotiate large strategic partnerships with key clients and/or partners to meet strategic imperatives.
•Play a hands-on role in deployment and go-to-market of a new mobile-based technology solution, including supporting sales enablement efforts.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of success in progressive leadership positions in the payments industry.
•Strong local market and regulatory knowledge across acceptance, merchant acquiring, interchange management, and client sales (preferably Visa).
•Established networks at decision-making levels with a strong B2B sales track record.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; master’s degree in a business field is an added advantage.
•Strong influencing and negotiation skills with experience shaping and delivering strategies.
