Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and certified DOT inspections on trailers and equipment.
  • •Diagnose and repair/replace refrigeration-related components and other trailer systems (including compressors, coils, and electrical components).
  • •Complete minor adjustments and repairs on trailer equipment such as trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain company-issued service vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work on repair orders, upload required photos/findings, and complete DOT and other forms accurately.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years related experience).
  • •3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Supply a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or provide a qualifying DOT medical card).
