Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair refrigeration equipment and other plant assets while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns to keep equipment running for continuous production.
  • •Assist the refrigeration and maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment needs, including assigning refrigeration techs to equipment during process periods.
  • •Train refrigeration and maintenance techs on equipment and assist during absenteeism or other plant areas as needed.
  • •Follow up on parts inventory and outstanding purchase orders, and complete required work orders and daily documentation in Tyson systems.

Key Requirements

  • •1 year of experience in ammonia refrigeration or HVAC, or an equivalent technical-school certification.
  • •Minimum 1 year of documented mechanic work experience in the application/resume.
  • •Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program, or training beyond high school in an associate or technical field.
  • •Experience in general mechanics, maintenance, welding, electrical, and hydraulics is preferred.
  • •Complete required job training and be able to meet the role’s physical requirements (including lifting 70 lbs. and standing up to 12 hours).
