Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals and diagnose root causes using real-time information.
  • •Order parts and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • •Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and at customer locations and handle the repairs.
  • •Set up and operate equipment individually or with other technicians; assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • •Maintain complete, timely electronic/paper documentation of work performed and assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position.
  • •Advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal/effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read/understand schematics.
  • •Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills; EPA 608 certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months).
