Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead design, development, and deployment of the company’s most complex, highest-stakes statistical and machine learning models in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • •Drive end-to-end delivery from problem framing and model design through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration of flagship initiatives.
  • •Define technical strategy and architecture for the modeling ecosystem for credit risk, pricing, and loss forecasting, ensuring scalability and business impact.
  • •Partner with senior leaders across Portfolio Strategy, Engineering, Product, Underwriting, Sales, and Collections to shape the data science roadmap.
  • •Define and enforce organization-wide standards for model development, validation, code quality, and documentation; mentor data scientists and communicate with executives.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of hands-on model development and deployment using advanced statistical and machine learning (e.g., generalized linear models, gradient boosting, deep learning).
  • •Deep experience building and deploying credit risk models, especially underwriting models, in fintech, lending, or financial services.
  • •Proven ability to lead high-impact data science initiatives from ambiguity to production with measurable business results.
  • •Experience with real-time models, decisioning engines, and production-grade machine learning pipelines is preferred.
  • •Expert in Python, SQL, and Git, and experience designing and deploying models in a cloud platform (e.g., AWS, SageMaker).
