Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and optimize search and recommendation ranking algorithms using information retrieval and machine learning to improve user experience.
  • •Contribute to optimization of trillion-scale index libraries, trillion-parameter models, and large-scale sparse models.
  • •Conduct in-depth research into next-generation ranking models using large-model knowledge for search and recommendation.
  • •Explore technologies including short-video multimodal machine learning, generative models, scaling laws, sparse MoE, and reinforcement learning.
  • •Build a full-stack search engine system leveraging advanced AI methods for ByteDance’s search business.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or a related technical field.
  • •Proficient coding skills and strong algorithms/data structures using C++/Python/Java.
  • •Solid knowledge of machine learning with practical experience applying it.
  • •Experience modeling in areas such as ads, search engines, recommender systems, or NLP/CV.
  • •Strong communication and teamwork skills.
