Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain Group geotechnical strategy; define geotechnical standards, frameworks, and leading practices.
  • •Embed geotechnical governance requirements and support operational compliance with those standards.
  • •Provide specialist geotechnical support to operations and projects, including reviews for mine design, excavation design, and waste dump design.
  • •Lead assurance and risk activities: deliver second-line assurance, assess compliance, and support readiness and operational geotechnical strategy reviews.
  • •Drive continuous improvement through modernization, geotechnical technology roadmaps, and innovation; support capability development and mentoring.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Rock Mechanics or a related discipline.
  • •Government Certificate of Competency.
  • •Minimum 10 years' senior operational, consulting or management experience in underground and open pit mining.
  • •Experience leading geotechnical investigations, design and monitoring programmes.
  • •Experience supporting major mining projects and operational risk management.
